Dr. Noel Shadowen's autism assessment will help you gain deeper understanding and insights into yourself and your experience of the world. She views neurodiversity as just that-- a unique way of processing the world-- a difference, not a deficit. In fact, neurodiverse people tend to have many "superpowers" that many neurotypical people do not.

We try to avoid long waitlists and get people in for an intake in at least 2-3 weeks from the time they reach out. Depending on your schedule and current availability, the approximate total time of the assessment from start to finish is typically 2-3 months.

For your convenience, we offer the assessment in three parts:

Part 1

Scheduling an intake session, where you and Dr. Shadowen discuss your goals for the assessment, what you are experiencing, and her assessment approach. You complete 3-7 empirically based screening questionnaires.

Part 2

Assessment session(s) based on your responses to the screening questions and goals. You meet with Dr. Shadowen for about 3-4 hours. You complete more in-depth empirically supported questionnaires.

Part 3

Dr. Shadowen prepares a 5+ page Diagnostic Report that is tailored to your needs and goals and outlines of the information gathered throughout the assessment process.

You and Dr. Shadowen meet for a feedback session where she presents the results of the assessment, describes any diagnosis, and answers all of your questions.

Costs

$2,000 for the total assessment. Payment plans are available that break down costs with a payment due at each "Part". Payment may be made by credit card, debit, or check.
